BMET 436 Week 1 iLab Communication Channels, Noise, and Distortion
Laboratory 1—Communication Channels, Noise, and Distortion
Part #1—Application of low-pass filter to extract desired signal from a complex signal
Objective
The objective of this lab is to use TutorTIMS to build a communication system and analyze the system using measurements and calculations. In this lab, an adder is used to add two sinusoidal signals from different sources. The output of the adder is applied to a tunable low-pass filter that will be tuned to pass the lower frequency.
Procedure
1.Right click on the sixth slot. The sixth slot will be highlighted and a list of modules will be displayed. Select Adderby clicking it. The adder module is placed in the sixth slot.
2.Right click on the seventh module. The seventh module is highlighted and a list of modules will be displayed. Select the Tunable Low Pass Filtermodule by clicking on it. The Tunable Low Pass Filter module is placed in the seventh slot. Now you have three modules placed in the fifth, sixth, and seventh slots as shown in Diagram 1.
