Introduction

Companies are having difficulty attracting and hiring qualified employees in today’s world. Additionally, to these challenges, you have other companies competing to attract and hire new talent as well.

From the video provided by Spotify, they have developed a culture and organization structure that is very intriguing to the new talent entering the workforce. It is clear that through the culture and organization’s structure, they empower and value their employees.

This is a major attraction to new talent since most people seek to work for a company that appreciates its employees. Spotify is proving that when you value your employees, they, in return, value the company.

Organizational Culture

Organizational culture describes the shared goals and values of an organization, this culture is unique to each organization (Lumen Learning, Organizational Culture, n.d. para.1).

The dimensions of the Organizational Culture Profile (OCP) are what defines the culture of an organization. There are seven dimensions that are used to develop and asses the placement of a person into an organization (Lumen Learning, Key Dimensions of Organizational Culture, n.d., para.2).

The seven dimensions are detailed oriented, aggressive, stable, innovative, outcome-oriented, team-oriented, and people-oriented (Lumen Learning, Key Dimensions of Organizational Culture, n.d., para.2).
