Operating a Small Business In Today’s Technology Driven Market Author: Amanda Finch Everest University Composition 2

My essay is titled “Operating A Small Business In a Technology Driven Market”. The purpose of my paper is to define the operation of a small business owner in today’stechnology driven market.

By this I mean there is an abundance of free or free trialsavailable today to help business that are very helpful, but in my business we thin timber as a part of reforestation so most of the technology offered doesn’t apply to my business.

I do not need FACEBOOK, TWITTER, or any other social media for marketing. In factI do not need any of it the QUICKBOOKS and other accounting apps/ software areuseful but that is about as much technology as I can use.

In my business I already havecontracts to cut the wood and a buyer that buys all we can cut. I also have contracts with them.

My point is do small businesses really benefit from all the technologyavailable or are we lost in a fast moving world that is leaving the small businesses in theDust.Are we the small businesses missing out on needed business or cash by not takingadvantage of the technology in today’s market?

In my business it is not very useful but Ican see how most small businesses can benefit from the use of technology and socialmedia to expand their customer base and expand their revenue
