You have been asked to create a Web page for a nonprofit organization called KidsHome. This organization collects charitable donations, in the form of monies, clothing, food, cleaning supplies, and general hygiene supplies, and sends them to families in need throughout the U.S. Currently its Web page consist of a two (2) sites that are linked together with hyperlinks. The site was created years ago with Microsoft Front page and contains no dynamic content. The goal is to improve KidsHome Website’s overall look, so the organization can consider expanding to help children globally.

Section 1: Preplanning Design

(MS Word Document or equivalent)

The preplanning design consists of a document that defines the element specifically requested by the client and indicates where these features will be located on the Website. This is an important component to complete before you start building the application and should be used as a guideline when developing the Website.

  1. Write a two to three (2-3) page paper in which you:
    1. Describe your design of the following client requirements:
    2. A new company logo to replace the logo across the top of the page
    3. A color scheme that promotes a calm feeling (warm natural colors)
  2. A font that is easy to read
  3. An “About” page that summarizes the company
  4. A hierarchical variable list based on the provided main categories and sub-categories
