 thieves, pickpockets, nomads, and travellers, the Gypsy culture and their community are widely misconstrued. Not
 much is known about these mysterious people who roam around the world and are dispersed throughout the land. 
Gypsies are everywhere.  One could be sitting next to you on the bus, another checking you out at the supermarket, or
 even your neighbor in you your apartment flat.  Gypsies are not a strange, fearsome group. 
 They are a community of people who are wholly      misunderstood, which results in persecution, oppression, and even feelings of awe and wonder.  The preconceived no
tion of Gypsies being an enigmatic culture primarily derives from their murky history. 
The documentation of Gypsy migrations and customs are unreliable because the Gypsies chose to keep to themselves.  When confronting the Gypsies about their past and ancestry, Gypsies prefer to keep their personal lives foggy. 
It is partially the nomadic air of the Gypsies as well as their personal preference to be unknown that leads to groundless recordings. 
 They are a culture that is not in favor of thewritten word, so their only documentation comes from non-Gypsies, which are often called Gorgios, or outsiders, by Gypsies themselves (Okely).  The Gypsies lived very secretively and were master of the nomadic lifestyle.  
The discrimination against them rooting from religious and ethnic differences has pushed these clans to spread all over the world.  
This causes them to steal and pickpocket as well as master many skills, crafts, andmagical talents to make a living.  Their way of life is intensely mysterious and misunderstood. 
 Their customs in relation to education, family structure, and societal vlaues are far from an idealistic good, just, and sustainable community, however the Gypsies are a community so internally tied that it is hard not to be enticed by their customs and way of life
