Risks to the Network:
1. What are some different types of viruses and how do they attack?There are multiple different types of viruses, and some of them include: File viruses, Boot viruses, and a worm. Although a worm is not actually a virus, it still attacks files in a similar manner.
Worms do not need human interaction with a computer to spread, they make waythrough a network without help, and can potentially harm peripheral devices. A Boot Virus is among one of the most harmful because the virus stays on the hard drive.

Risks to the Network:
1. What are some different types of viruses and how do they attack?There are multiple different types of viruses, and some of them include: File viruses, Boot viruses, and a worm. Although a worm is not actually a virus, it still attacks files in a similar manner.
Worms do not need human interaction with a computer to spread, they make waythrough a network without help, and can potentially harm peripheral devices. A Boot Virus is among one of the most harmful because the virus stays on the hard drive.
Detecting and removing boot viruses is difficult. When the computer boots up, the virus is spread throughout. Afile virus attacks when a certain file is opened. Typically, the virus is found within an email as an attachment. When the link is opened, the virus is spread.
2. Why are default passwords harmful in programs and firmware?Default passwords can be very dangerous depending on what they are located on, and it isalways recommended that they are changed immediately after set-up.
Default passwords are easier to hack, similar to if a user uses a name, or important date within their password. If you happen to use an intricate password, there is a high unlikeliness of information being leaked. When using a default, the possibilities of information being leaked is greater because of the commonness to that password.
3. What is a potential threat that companies train employees on?A common threat that companies have to train employees on now is accidental association. Accidental association can be considered common because the amount of people using public Wi-Fi. When on public Wi-Fi, the main server can access all data; even the information from work if you still have the network open.
This is a threat because information can be stolen and leaked to another rivaling company. In most cases, the employees do not realize that they are breaching policies when doing so, and that is why companies brief them about cyber security. Risks to Computers Connected to the Network:
4. What is a Hacker and what is their main target?A hacker is any person who breaks into a computer or network without consent from the owner of said computer or network. Some hackers use ethics, and purely hack to test system vulnerabilities. These hackers are usually employed by a company to do so. Other hackers are targeting systems to either destroy information or steal information for gain of their own.
