Summarize the business that you have chosen, and provide a two to three (2-3) paragraphjustification as to why China would be a viable market for the selected business.

Aarons Inc. (AAN) is a leader in sales and lease ownership in 48 states and it offersspecialty retailing furniture, accessories, electronics. Aarons Inc. has more than 2,000 stores with12,400 employees in United States.

Aaron’s has roughly 2.11 USD billion market cap based inbased in Atlanta, GA was conceived in 1955 and in 1982 went public on the NYSE stock marketunder the symbol “AAN.”

The company has seen great growth locally and with modest growthinternationally and as of July 21, 2014, the company owned and operated approximately 2,000company operated stores and 17,000 retail locations in the United States and Canada (Aarons’sAbout, 2016).

Aarons Inc, Inc., and its affiliates, leases household durable goods to customers on alease-to-own basis. It offers durable products, such as specialty retailing furniture, accessories,electronics under lease purchase agreements.

The company also provides merchandise on aninstallment sales basis; and offers the lease-to-own transaction to people who do not normallyqualify for financing from the traditional retailer through kiosks within retailers’ locations.

PerEarnest and Young, China has population of more than 1.37 billion and it is the second biggesteconomy on the planet and it has around 150 million individuals earning at a daily rate ofUS$100 dollars. As the nation continued to on make the vital monetary changes the number willkeep improving.

It is predicted that by 2030 around one billion individuals in China could fallinto working class. Doing business in China is becoming easier and many of its regions areboosting foreign investment through removal of previous legal restrictions and tax incentives.

Labor costs are considerably low which opens more opportunities. These benefits make China abetter investment for Aarons Inc.

Examine the exchange rate of the U.S. dollar and the Chinese Yuan for the last 24 months.Explain the major overall changes that have occurred and speculate on the key economicvariables that most likely have influenced the exchange rate movements. Provide arationale for your response.

This is the US Dollar (USD) to Chinese Yuan (CNY) exchange rate history for the past 5 yearswith 2-year demarcation at January’03 2014, as of this day US $1.00 had been exchanging for6.1 Chinese Yuan (CNY).

From the graph, it appears Chinese Yuan is a volatile currency; henceit is important that when contemplating an FDI (Foreign Direct Investment) in China, firms mustcarefully analyze the exchange rate.
