The united states have seen great changes in its health care systems since in the20th century. One such change is the Obama administration policy called the affordable care act, a legislation passed by Congress to ensure that all Americans have access to quality health care. It is the mandate of nurses to ensure that this program is implemented fully in the health facilities that they serve. This is good because nurses have the leadership skills needed in the implementation of the program. With the changes in the medical field, it calls for the nurses to stay updated on the current health issues and nursing skills to offer better care to their patients. This paper will look at the nursing trends in the United States, nursing leadership skills, and the trending issues in the nursing field.

This legislation brought about a change in how United States citizens access quality healthcare at a cheaper cost.
