What variables (factors) are being looked at as an influence on personality? How are these factors assessed or measured in the article? Some of those variables being looked at were high accomplishing and high achieving sibling rivalry. Due to the type of evaluation, the variables could be assigned to any sibling or to the same sibling. The research team provided the siblings with custom questions in which the responses were used as the factor measurement(s). The Big Five or Five-Factor Model were added as variables during the third and fourth studies. Those factors included: extraversion or social confidence, conscientiousness, agreeableness, openness to experience or rebellion, creativity, and liberalism. Partly at play were high achieving and accomplishing kin along with renegade kin. Because of this kind of assessment, these factors could be appointed to any kin or to some similar kin. The examination group furnished the kin with custom-made inquiries in which the reactions were utilized as the factor measurement(s). The Big Five or Five-Factor Model were included as factors in the third and fourth investigations. Those components included: extraversion or being socially certain, pleasantness, reliability, and receptiveness to encounter or insubordinate, imaginative, and liberal (respectively).
