Upon reading over the Case Study for AA, I have interpreted the scores from the MMPI-2assessment administered to the client. Her T- scores for the variables L, F, and K were all elevated, presenting in an upwards corollary slope, with L being the lowest and K being the highest with a score of 80. This signifies that AA is defensive, which is understandable given the circumstances of CPS involvement (Ackerman, 2010.) The slope of her scores also shows that she is trying to appear better than she is in reality (Simonpietri, 2015.) On the MMPI-2 test, any T-Score over 65 is considered to be high. AA scored above a T-Score of 65 in the areas of Psychopathic Deviance, Schizophrenia, and Hypomania. It is also worth noting that Paranoia yielded a score of 64; one away from falling into the high category (Chandler, 2014.) AA scored with the average range in the other categories (UMP, 2015.) The MMPI-2 test was both valid and reliable. The test asks a series of questions, many of which are the same question just worded differently.

The test is deemed reliable because it is about AA’s personality, meaning she would probably score very similar or identical results if she were to take it again. The test is also valid since it measures what it is intended to measure. The test is intended to measure her personality using questions that fall into various distinct categories. The MMPI-2 test for AA adheres to the four standards under Rule 702 about expert testimony (Legal Information Institute, 2015). Due to this, there is a small potential rate of error. That being said, one could argue that the data may not be completely sufficient. This could be argued due to the fact that AA is under abnormal stress due to the conditions of why she was tested. She is a parent who is being investigated by CPS, which would put any parent in a heightened state. This would be up to the testimony of the expert to prove that the results were sufficient (Meixner & Diamond, 2014.) Ms. A. was also evaluated using the SA-45 test. This is a test designed to determine symptomatically. There are nine domains that are scored: Anxiety, Depression, Interpersonal Sensitivity, Hostility, Obsessive-Compulsive, Psychotic-ism, Paranoid Idealization, Solemnization.
